How Adeboye saved me from death in plane crash – Oyedepo

Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFCWW), David Oyedepo, has revealed how he almost died in a plane crash recently. Speaking at the church headquarters on Friday, Oyedepo says before the trip, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A Adeboye visited him unannounced and prayed for him. It was the third time Bishop Oyedepo would be involved in near air mishap. Narrating how this third and most recent accident happened, a pastor in the church, Adebisi, read the report from the aircraft’s pilot, Captain Samuel Adegoga. “The main malfunction we had in the Cyprus-Israel flight was a stabilizer twin-motor failure. During the said flight that we had the twin motor failure, the auto-pilot could no longer exert the desired pressure to keep the aircraft in the required altitude for stability flight. “The captain disconnected the auto-pilot, took and returned the aircraft to the required altitude for that phase of the flight. ...

Tagbo’s brother speaks on Davido’s absence at burial

Tagbo’s brother, Chigbo has revealed that Nigerian pop artiste, Davido, did not attend the burial ceremony of his friend, Tagbo Umeike on Friday. Tagbo, allegedly died of alcohol after spending his birthday with Davido and his crew in Lagos. The young man was buried in his hometown in Anambra State yesterday. Tagbo’s brother, Chigbo told Punch that although his brother’s life was cut short unexpectedly, his burial went according to plans. He said , “My brother was buried on Friday and it is so sad that we have lost someone with a big heart. “However , Davido was not present at the burial neither did he send a representative but at this point, we have no comment on that. “I would miss my brother a lot because he had a big heart. He was not only my brother but a lot of people’s brother as well. “Through my late brother, I have made a lot of friends turned brother and despite his death, I hope to still keep these wonderful people as my brothers.

Peter Okoye Mr P does not have the ‘Psquare’ voice that we recognise and love

The chief driving force behind the breakup of Psquare is Peter Okoye. The singer who prefers to be known as Mr P pushed the motion for the crumble of Psquare by rebelling against his brothers. He has valid reasons, including allegations of ‘threat to life’ as part of the reason why he has decided to leave Psquare, and push for a solo career. Peter Okoye believes that he has it all. BREAKING: 2,000 Nigeria police personnel protest over non-payment of salaries

No fewer than 2,000 Police personnel attached to the Kaduna State Command are currently protesting over the non-payment of their August and September salaries. The aggrieved police personnel which cut across the rank and file of the Command, are assembled in front of the Salaries Office inside the Command headquarters in Kaduna Town. Addressing the aggrieved personnel, the State Commissioner of Police, Cyril Abeh, explained that the delay was from the Finance Ministry’s IPPS office and not the fault of the police. “They are police officers operating under the law, if they misbehave, we will deal with them according to the law. Buhari nominates Aishah Ahmad as new CBN Deputy Governor

President Muhammadu Buhari has forwarded the name of Mrs Aishah Ahmad to the Senate for confirmation as Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN. Mrs Ahmad is expected to replace former CBN Deputy Governor, who retired early in the year. According to statement by Buhari’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, the president presented Mrs Ahmad’s name to the senate in accordance with the provisions of “Section 8(1) (2) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (Establishment) Act 2007.” The statement quoted the President as urging the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, “To consider the expeditious confirmation of Mrs Ahmad, who would then resume work immediately.” Also Buhari has written to the Senate, seeking the confirmation of the appointment of members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the CBN. Monkeypox Doctor, 10 others infected as deadly virus breaks out in Bayelsa

The residents of Bayelsa State are currently living in fear as a new deadly epidemic known as "monkeypox" broke out in the state. About 11 persons including a medical doctor, who have been infected with the virus, are said to have been quarantined at the in an isolation center at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital, Okolobiri in the Yenagoa. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the epidemiological team are reportedly tracking 49 other persons who were said to have come in contact with the victims. Confirming the epidemic, the state Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, said that samples of the virus had been sent to the World Health Organisation laboratory in Dakar, Senegal for confirmation. Etebu described monkeypox as a viral illness caused by a group of viruses that include chicken pox and small pox. Efe told SoundCity that he has the habit of buying shoes, adding that it was actually the most expensive thing he got with his money. Dbanj speaks on Psquare reported split

Kokomaster, as D’banj is popularly called while speaking in an interview with NET, blamed the media for the extremity of the fight. Popular Nigerian singer, Inetimi Alfred Odon, AKA Timaya, has described Eedris Abdulkareem as ”a dirty looking igbo smoker and a fool.” This follows an interview with Goldmynetv where Eedris called Timaya an ingrate that forgets his root. He also accused him of singing about himself and not adding value to people. But Timaya, who admitted he trained under Eedris as a back-up singer years back , said Eedris disregards and treats people like a trash. In a post he shared on his Instagram, he said, “Did you even know my name then? I paid my own transport to every of your show, now you call me an ingrate, what did you do for me. You regarded me as a nobody” Timaya also called Eedris an idiot for mentioning 2baba’s name in his backlash. “Tuface is big now, you are still there!
