                   AN ITAKPA COMMUNITY AREA IN BENUE STATE CRY CALL ON                                                GOV.ORTOM  An Itekpa Community leader in Oju local Government Area of Benue state, Chief Odeh Ola Odeh, has called for  improved social amenities for some alleged relegated  parts of Igede community in the State, in a bid to enable them enjoy the dividends of a democratic dispensation. Odeh made the call while addressing journalists on the menace caused by Omwu river located in Itekpa community in Oju LGA, and harped on the need for a redress. Apart from the river menace, Odeh also bemoaned the absence of power supply in significantly four minority Igede groups in Oju namely: Itekpa, Omua, Ikwata and Adoka areas, which he ascribed to sheer neglect for its inhabitants. BREAKING: PASTOR, ADEBOYE RETIRES,OBAYEMI NAMED SUCCESSOR

Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has retired as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Just last year, the church slammed those calling for the 74-year-old to retire as head of RCCG Pastor Johnson Odesola, Special Assistant to Pastor Adeboye on Administration and Personnel, said at the time that the church’s constitution did not state that anyone above 70 years should not lead the ministry He said: “Whereas the constitution provided that the deputy and assistant general overseers are appointed to retire at 70 and enjoy their retirement benefits for life, there is no such provision for the general overseer.” Pastor J.O. Obayemi has been named as Adeboye’s successor. Obayemi was a deputy in charge of Finance and a member of governing council, before his appointment
