HushPuppi: KCee petitions EFCC to investigate socialite

KCee has petitioned the Economic Financial and Crimes Commission (EFCC), to look into Ray HushPuppi’s dealings and investigate how he makes his money. This is the latest in the drama ensuing between HushPuppi and rappers, Phyno and Ice Prince. HushPuppi had called Phyno and Ice Prince hypocrites in a Snapchat post on Wednesday, saying they both purchased fake luxury watches. “If you don’t want people to patronize pirated copy of your work, don’t patronize pirated copy of other’s work.#Hypocrites,” he wrote on his social media. KCee has now leapt to the defence of his colleagues, and wrote: “Dear Hushpuppi, We are musicians not paupers. Billionaire kidnapper: Evans’ father files affidavit in support of son against IGP, 3 others

Stephen Onwumadike, the father of notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudubem a.k.a Evans has also filed a 27 paragraph affidavit in support of his son’s suit against the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Idris Ibrahim and three others. Recall that the kidnap kingpin had yesterday, filed a fundamental human rights lawsuit against the IGP and three others over his continued detention by the security operatives since his arrest on June 10th. In the affidavit, Stephen argued that Evans had been subjected to media trial instead of being tried in a competent court of jurisdiction. He argued that his son had not been granted fair hearing in any court and is now being judged by the reports published by the media. Evans’s father added that since his son’s arrest, all his family members have been denied access to him while media practitioners have been granted unhindered access to him. The court is yet to assign a judge to the case and also fix a date for hearing

Funke Akindele reportedly pregnant with twins

Popular Nollywood comic actress, Funke Akindele also known as ‘Jenifa’ is reportedly expecting twins with her husband Abdulrasheed Bello also known as JJC Skillz. The actress com producer’s husband reportedly dropped the hint on his instagram handle but has since deleted the post. JJC wrote: “To God be the glory, Amen. “Amen amen amen. God, I receive your wonderful news in praise. To God be the glory you will be called a mother by your beautiful miraculous twins Funke Akindele, my queen and wonderful mother of my children to be.” This is coming at a time when the popular actress was calling for prayers for her to conceive during one of Nathaniel Bassey’s Hallelujah challenge sessions. Recall that the founder of the Mountain of Blessing and Miracle Church of Christ, Dr. Olagorioye Faleyimu, had in January 2017 predicted that Akindele may not bear children. 

Pastor Paul Adefarasin speaks on fire at House on the Rock building in Abuja

The Senior Pastor of all House on the Rock Churches, Paul Adefarasin, has spoken for the first time, after the fire outbreak in the Abuja branch of the church. The incident happened on Sunday, after the mid-year thanksgiving service and was eventually contained by men from the Fire Service. Billionaire kidnapper: How policewoman helped Evans escape justice

Suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeje George Onwuamadike, aka Evans, was allegedly arrested in 2006 for bank robbery. But a policewoman helped him evade justice. There was a gun duel between Evans and members of his gang at the National Theatre in Lagos, while sharing the loot from the operation. They started shooting themselves and many of the robbers died. He was seriously injured and abandoned by the others. House on the Rock Church buildng in Abuja on fire [VIDEO]

House on the Rock Church building in Abuja has gone up in flames. The branch is located at James Wolfensohn Drive, near City Gate, Kukwaba. Video footage of the incident emerged online. However, cause of the fire is not yet known. The church was founded by Pastor Paul Adefarasin. Singer Kcee has insisted his brother, E-Money, is not into drugs or fraud. In a recent interview with Punch, Kcee revealed how his family was evicted from their apartment in Ajegunle, because they could not afford the rent. Apostle Suleman blows hot over removal of CRK in curriculum, warns Buhari, North

President of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has expressed outrage at the removal of Christian Religious Knowledge (CRK) as a subject of study from the secondary school curriculum, describing it as a move by President Muhammadu Buhari to Islamise Nigeria. Recall that the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) complained about the development during its meeting with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The delegation led by its President, Rev Dr Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, also listed demands on the matter and other burning issues in a letter delivered to Osinbajo. Veteran actor, Patrick Doyle says Davido’s “IF” song causing regretted harm on youths

CVeteran actor and ace broadcaster, Patrick Doyle, has noted that David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido’s hit song, “IF” is causing regrettable harm to Nigerian youths. The song, produced by Tekno and released in February, being the singer’s first single of 2017, is currently ruling the airwaves HipTV reported the veteran actor as having faulted Davido’s “30 billion” slogan from the “IF” song. According to the music station, Doyle noted that most people do not understand that money does not come easily and might do anything just to get such money after listening to the song. There are 160,000 women and girls living with HIV in Ghana - UNAIDS

A new report by UNAIDS on HIV prevalence in women has  revealed that Ghana is  among countries with the highest prevalence rate in West Africa.  As many as 160,000  women and girls in Ghana are living with the virus, the report said. The 2017 report titled “When women lead, change happens – women advancing the end  of AIDS” provides global statistics on the prevalence of HIV among women across the world. The report also highlights the contributions, challenges, and successes of the UNAIDS in the  fight against HIV/AIDS. According to the report, 18.6 million women and girls are reported to be living with HIV in  the world. The report said women accounted for 51% of people living with HIV worldwide,  but with large regional differences—in western and central Africa, nearly 60% of all people  living with HIV are women.
