‘You Do Not Have To Be Naked To Look Good

A
da Ehi is the face behind the household song ‘Only You Jesus’ and a minstrel in Believers’ Love World (Christ Embassy). ‘The Lady god’ met with some journalists recently where she talked about her ministry, her non craze for endorsements, her life as a fulltime gospel artiste and her seventh video album music video tagged ‘I Overcame’ which would be launched soon.  Chinyere Abiaziem brings the excerpts:

Can you talk more about yourself?

My life is a story of God’s grace.  I am a lady made extra ordinary by the steadfast love of Christ Jesus.

I am a Nigerian born International gospel music minister, singer, songwriter, recording and performing musician who by the influence of the Holy Spirit authored songs like- ‘Only You Jesus’, ‘I Testify’, ‘Jesus (You Are Able)’, ‘Bobo Me’, ‘Cheta’, to mention a few. I was born to Victor and Mabel Ndukauba in the 80’s.Along with my three  brothers I grew up surrounded by music especially Christian sounds.

At just about the age of 10 , I was selected to be a member of the Girls band of the very successful and famous Nigerian child star Tosin Jegede. We graced many stages along with a host of legendary music giants of the time.

I graduated from Lagos State University where I studied Chemical and Polymer Engineering and came in contact with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome through the Believers’ Love World campus ministry.

Presently I am gearing up for my third studio album which is due to be out by the second half of this year. My debut album ‘Undenied’ was released in November 2009 following up with a double disc sophomore album ‘Lifted and So Fly’ released in November 2013. Two years ago my song ‘Our God Reigns’ won the best song of the year at the prestigious Loveworld Music Awards.

I am married to Ehi Moses and together we are blessed with two children. I am actively involved with the music ministry of Christ Embassy where I worship with my family, ministering with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome in several programs around the world.

How long have you been in this industry?

Ever since I graduated in 2007. As soon as I graduated I went straight into gospel music.

How has it been since 2007 when you came into the gospel music industry?

It has been beautiful, you know gospel music is a calling, it is God’s business. So I have the best world in the world.

What brand of gospel music are you much into?

I do gospel pop, alternative rock and electric dance music (EDM).

How many collections of song are in the soon to be unveiled album?

I have about 19.

What is the central theme?

It is about Jesus.

Does it bother you that secular artistes get more endorsements than gospel artistes? You

know when you say secular, it is about show, money, popularity while the gospel is about preaching the message of Jesus Christ. So we have different proprieties as we are not on the same mission.  You know it is your destination that determines where you take.  We are not here for fame, promoting looks, money or Ada. We have a mission of winning souls which we are more interested in. We are not here to get endorsements but to use music to preach and win souls.  So if they have more endorsements that is what they are about. They are about fame and they are going to go look for it. We are not looking for it, for us if it comes praise God.

But you have an endorsement yourself?

Yes.

Are you into music full time?

Yes  music is full time for me  likewise being a mum and a wife. Before I came out for this interview I had to revise with my children and I had to get them ready for school as well.

Why have you chosen this path- gospel music?

I did not choose it, I was called into doing gospel music.

You look glamorous…

Yes, because looking good is God’s business.  When you look at the stars, sky, the waterfalls, when you see the signature of the creator you see that he is in the business of looking good. I carry God so I

have to look li

Ex-Big Brother Naija star, singer and guitarist, Deborah Ebun, popularly called Debie-Rise, has revealed how her Dad pardoned her after she sneaked out to the show. Debbie-Rise was one of the contestants that lasted till the last day of the reality show. While in the show, she had told fellow housemates how she ran out of her home because her dad, a pastor, would not let her attend the show. The Kogi-born singer, who has been touring media houses since the end of the reality, said, “Apart from the fact that my father is a pastor, I feel like I’m a typical girl with a good cultural upbringing from the north where parents are very protective of their children or they are just worried about the outside world like the city life. “So, I understood it as to the kind of life he wanted for me. I know he wants the best for me and he was just trying his best. “He was trying to be protective but being a pastor and me trying to have a career in music, there could be this friction....

Senator Abba Moro Excludes Obi and Oju from Medical Outreach as Bad Roads Cut Off Communities

Senator Abba Moro Excludes Obi and Oju from Medical Outreach as Bad Roads Cut Off Communities By Smith Akoko A wave of disappointment has swept through the Obi and Oju Local Government Areas of Benue State following their exclusion from the recent medical outreach organized by Senator Abba Moro. According to sources close to the outreach team, the decision to skip the two localities was not intentional but rather a result of the deplorable state of the roads linking the communities. The impassable routes reportedly made it impossible for medical personnel and logistics teams to access the areas safely. Residents and community leaders, however, have expressed their frustration, lamenting that the poor road network continues to rob them of essential services. Many described the development as “heartbreaking,” noting that health care should not be a privilege reserved for those in more accessible locations.  We have been neglected for too long.  Each rainy season worsens o...
