Osun 2018: APC has declared war on us – Adeleke cries out

The Ademola Adeleke Campaign Organisation has cried out over alleged destruction of billboards of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP) by agents of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC
).

The campaign organization also claimed that campaign convoy of the governorship candidate of the PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was breached by a suspected attacker in cream coloured unnumbered Toyota Venza.
Olawale Rasheed, Director, Media & Publicity, in a statement sent to DAILY POST, said some hoodlums last night rained bullets on the country home of the Adeleke family until they were repelled.
According to him, “Now, ongoing all over the state is the vandalisation of billboards and campaign posters of the PDP candidate. This act of destruction by the APC thugs is evident at Osogbo and other parts of the state.
“As we prepare to make official reports to the security agencies, we alert the general public to the increasing desperation of the APC in the countdown to the governorship election.
“We have conducted our campaign with utmost decorum and compliance with the ‘vote and not fight’ principle. We remain committed to peaceful campaign and electoral processes. We however invite local and international democratic forces to note the deliberate efforts of the APC to plunge Osun State into chaos.
“We call on security agencies to take note of the increasing onslaught against opposition leaders and the dangers this portends for our democracy. The police and other security agents should curtail and rein in forces of chaos and violence for the stability of our nascent democracy.
“The people of Osun State are entitled to their democratic rights to vote and be voted for. Our people will never be cowed or scared from exercising their democratic rights to reject the inhuman government of APC. No amount of threat and attacks will stop the imminent defeat facing the APC in Osun State.
“We urge our people to remain undaunted and to prepare their PVCs to vote out APC’s darkness and enthrone PDP’s light.”

Debbie-Rise was one of the contestants that lasted till the last day of the reality show. While in the show, she had told fellow housemates how she ran out of her home because her dad, a pastor, would not let her attend the show. The Kogi-born singer, who has been touring media houses since the end of the reality, said, “Apart from the fact that my father is a pastor, I feel like I’m a typical girl with a good cultural upbringing from the north where parents are very protective of their children or they are just worried about the outside world like the city life. “So, I understood it as to the kind of life he wanted for me. I know he wants the best for me and he was just trying his best. “He was trying to be protective but being a pastor and me trying to have a career in music, there could be this friction....

Senator Abba Moro Excludes Obi and Oju from Medical Outreach as Bad Roads Cut Off Communities

Senator Abba Moro Excludes Obi and Oju from Medical Outreach as Bad Roads Cut Off Communities By Smith Akoko A wave of disappointment has swept through the Obi and Oju Local Government Areas of Benue State following their exclusion from the recent medical outreach organized by Senator Abba Moro. According to sources close to the outreach team, the decision to skip the two localities was not intentional but rather a result of the deplorable state of the roads linking the communities. The impassable routes reportedly made it impossible for medical personnel and logistics teams to access the areas safely. Residents and community leaders, however, have expressed their frustration, lamenting that the poor road network continues to rob them of essential services. Many described the development as “heartbreaking,” noting that health care should not be a privilege reserved for those in more accessible locations.  We have been neglected for too long.  Each rainy season worsens o...
