Nigeria’s gospel music minister, Steve Crown, has joined the wave of reactions following the just-concluded encounter between the Super Eagles and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana.

Taking to his platform, the minister expressed disappointment over the performance of the Nigerian side, noting that the team seemed to be lacking the very spark that usually defines great football.


In his words, the Super Eagles appeared to play without passion or cohesion, a reality he described as “so unfortunate.”

Steve Crown’s reaction echoes the sentiments of many fans who believe the national team needs a renewed fighting spirit if they are to truly soar again on the African and global stage.
